The Emperor: Who’s the Boss?

The card of the day is the EMPEROR.

theemperor

When I think of the Emperor, I think of someone who is organized, dependable, grounded, and focused. Is it possible that you need to take on some of the Emperor’s key strengths in order to get some work done?

I have a 4-part assignment for you:

First, start to focus on your intent. What do you want to accomplish in the next 4 months? If you can define it, you will have a MUCH greater chance of getting it done. Make a list of 4 goals you want to accomplish in the next 4 months. Write it down.

Second, it’s time to get organized! You have already generated a list of ideas that you want to work with, so now it is time to get serious. What can you get done in the next day, week, or month? Do you need any supplies or assistance to accomplish any of your goals? Start making some phone calls and doing a little planning. Oh, and if you have a calendar, pull it out and pencil in what you need in order to get what you want accomplished.

Third, it is time to meet some benchmarks. Prove yourself to be reliable. Don’t make plans and break them. You’re not the sort of person to pencil in a date with a friend and then not show up, are you? Don’t stand yourself up either! Once you’ve penciled in a set time to work on something, stick to it!

Fourth, bring your ideas down to the ground. How? Don’t let your ideas stay in your mind, make your plans real. You have to do something.

The Empress: Nurturing Your Ideas

The card of the day is the EMPRESS.

Empress (11)

The Empress is the mother archetype of the tarot. You might be a mother yourself, newly pregnant, or just incubating an idea that has a lot of potential for growth. Whatever area of life this card affects, it’s a clear indication that creativity, fertility, and nurturing will somehow be important for you today.

Please know that you have what it takes to create a great masterpiece! Is it possible that your own life is the springboard for whatever it is you will create?

Are you professional mother who runs a tight ship and puts a lot of love and energy into the food and clothing you make for your family?

Are you an artist (writer, poet) who is in the process of bringing a great vision to fruition?

Are you an entrepreneur who is working hard to manifest your dream (ideal, vision)?

Remember that everyone has a unique voice and something of interest to share with the world. Now is the time to start sharing that vision. Don’t worry, it will not feel like work. You will enjoy whatever it is you are doing and your ability to nurture whatever is growing inside of you will come naturally because it will feel absolutely right.

Some more questions to keep in mind:

Who or what in your life needs nurturing? How are you creative and which ideas or activities have the most potential for growth?
