10 of Wands | Queen of Swords | 3 of Cups

You might be entering this weekend feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, but does it really need to be that way? You might take on responsibility easily or feel like your best work is never good enough. You also might be someone who is used to working a lot and being overburdened feels completely natural and normal to you, but I’ll tell you something, it’s not natural or normal. You really do get to have days off, you just need to choose to schedule them for yourself. You also need to learn how to calm down and relax. Also, it’s ok to allow others to see you experiencing down time, especially your friends and family. My guess is they really want that for you too. It’s ok to be vulnerable around your friends and family, even if you are someone who has always wanted to conceal that vulnerability. Deep down inside there might be a fear of looking less than perfect or not wanting others to know you might be having a hard time handling your workload, or you might be struggling with being “the bread winner” if you are one, or maybe you are simply struggling to create the necessary boundaries with your time.

The message for this weekend is: carve out time to relax. You’ve put in plenty of hours in the past 10 days, it’s time to let your hair down and have some fun. Maybe you should make a special dinner or have some drinks with your housemates. Maybe you should have a game night or work in the garden with your family. Maybe you should do some karaoke in your living room (even if you look less than perfect doing it),

Burdens will always be there. Part of your work might be to establish the necessary boundaries between work and play. That’s a challenge for many of us.
